Foco e Escopo
A Revista Eptic, ISSN 15182487,é uma publicação quadrimestral, vinculada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação e ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Economia, sendo editada pelo Observatório de Economia e Comunicação (Obscom) da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS). Trata-se de um periódico científico, de alcance internacional, cuja missão é constituir um espaço de diálogo crítico da EPC com outros campos acadêmicos, atuando diretamente na pesquisa e produzindo conhecimento sobre a realidade social capaz de cooperar com a mudança social. Seu púbico alvo é estudantes, professores e pesquisadores cuja especialidade seja relacionada à Economia Política e suas interfaces e ao pensamento crítico comunicacional. Este periódico acolhe artigos e ensaios originais e inéditos, isto é, que não tenham sido publicados em periódicos nacionais, cujos autores tenham a titulação mínima de mestres, salvo exceções aprovadas por seu Conselho Editorial, relatos de pesquisas e resenhas, estes abertos também aos mestrandos, escritos em português, espanhol ou inglês e consoantes com seus princípios e normas editoriais
Processo de Avaliação pelos Pares
Os trabalhos submetidos à Revista Eptic são, primeiramente, avaliado em relação a sua formatação, conforme as diretrizes e normas de submissão. Na etapa seguinte, o trabalho é submetido à avaliações cegas, por pareceristas escolhido entre os membros da Conselho Editorial ou pareceristas ad hoc, em relação à sua adequação do artigo ao perfil da revista, seu conteúdo, relevância teórica, qualidade e contribuição da pesquisa ao campo teórico ao qual se vincula e demais aspectos definidos pela Comissão Editorial. De acordo com o formulário de avaliação, o parecerista poderá APROVAR, REJEITAR ou SUGERIR ALTERAÇÕES (sendo, nesse caso, obrigatório que o autor reenvie o trabalho com as recomendações contempladas para que o mesmo seja reavaliado pelo parecerista que, só então, emitirá o parecer final). No caso de PARECER NEGATIVO, o trabalho é enviado para um segundo parecerista e, se necessário (no caso de parecer divergente), a um terceiro. Tendo finalmente o parecer APROVADO, sua publicação obedecerá o agendamento de publicações organizado pelo Conselho Editorial.

A Revista Eptic tem periodicidade quadrimestral.

A Revista Eptic não aplica taxas de submissão, publicação ou de qualquer outra natureza em seus processos, sendo um veículo científico voltado à comunidade científica brasileira e internacional

Eptic Journal , ISSN 1518-2487, is a quarterly journal, connected to the Post Graduation program in Communication and in Economy, edited by the Observatory of Economy and Communication (OBSCOM) of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS).
It is a scientific journal with international reach, whose mission is to constitute a space for critical dialogue between the Political Economy of Communication and other academic fields, working directly with research and producing knowledge of the social reality capable of cooperating with social change.
Its target audience is composed of students, professors and researchers whose field of expertise is related to Political Economy and its interfaces and to the critical thinking.
This journal receives original and unpublished articles and essays, that is to say, those that have not been published in other journals, whose authors have at least a master’s degree, except for cases approved by the Editorial Board, and research reports and reviews, which are also open to Master’s Degree students, written in Portuguese, Spanish or English and in accordance to the principles and editorial standards.
Peer review process
The articles submitted to Eptic Journal are, firstly, evaluated concerning the formal criteria according to the publication’s guidelines and standards for submission. In the next step, the articles are submitted to blind evaluation by reviewers chosen from the members of the Editorial Boards or ad hoc reviewers, who evaluate if fits the journal's profile, content, theoretical relevance, quality and the contribution of the research to the theoretical field to which it is connected, and other aspects selected by the Editorial Board. According to the evaluation form, the reviewer can APPROVE, REJECT or SUGGEST ALTERATIONS (in this case, it is mandatory that the author resubmits the article with the alterations made, in order for it to be evaluated by the reviewer, who will only then issue the final opinion). In the case of a NEGATIVE OPINION, the article is sent to a second reviewer and, if necessary (in case there are different opinions), to a third reviewer. When the article is finally APPROVED, its publication will obey the publishing schedule organized by the Editorial Board.

The journal Eptic is published quarterly.
Free access policy
Eptic Journal does not charge submission fees, publication fees or any other type of fees in its processes, since it is a scientific medium dedicated to both the Brazilian and the international scientific community.
This journal offers immediate free access to its content, according to the principle that making scientific knowledge available to the public for free provides the worldwide democratization of knowledge
