Abstract

Abstract:

Taking the philosophies of J. L. Austin and of the so-called second Wittgenstein as starting point, we aim at showing how some of their concepts were absorbed by the discourse analysis. Thus, we first investigate how these philosophers have built their concepts; secondly, we briefly analyze the intellectual background of the “linguistic turn”; finally, we show the main similarities between the approaches of the “ordinary language philosophy” and of the discourse analysis.

Keywords:

Linguistic turn; ordinary language philosophy; discourse analysis.
