ABSTRACT

Brazil and China are two countries with distinct national histories. However, the expansion of capitalism’s mode of production brought these societies together in direct and indirect ways. Economic, social and political problems of this history’s phase became widespread between several unique societies, but still keeping their particularities. In this paper, our focus is to compare the class of the compradors in China and Brazil, relating their position with the historical formation of each country and what was their political function throughout time. The goal is to demonstrate how it is possible to understand Brazilian History through Chinese History, but still being clear about the existing differences between the two.
